Mrs. Stephens
Angela Stephens
After graduating from Carroll College with a B.A. in history and philosophy, she obtained a M.S. in political science. After teacher for a year, she returned to Idaho State University to earn her credentials in English and performing arts. Mrs. Stephens has taught a variety of courses including Advanced Placement and Duel Enrollment courses in government, world history, and U.S. literature. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Stephens has been a competitive speech and debate coach for the past ten years. Her students have won local, state and national awards in both speech and debate. She is most proud not of their external achievements, but of the many compassionate, diligent, and intelligent students she has had the opportunity to mentor throughout her career. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys teaching horseback riding lesson, training horses, and spending time at her families ranch in Idaho. She also loves hiking, boating, skiing, and rock climbing. She appreciates adventure and has traveled, taught, and explored the U.S.. She is passionate about teaching because each year is an adventure! Speaking of adventure, she has three biological children who comprise only a small group of the many who call her mom. |
